Scope and limits
Shirley is not a physician, surgeon, trichologist, or licensed hair-restoration specialist, and holds no clinical credentials in hair restoration. Her role is research and editorial: making sure every page on HealthCostHub cites its sources, that pricing data is current and consistent, and that the site's published vetting standards are applied uniformly to every clinic in our directory. Nothing on this site is medical advice — it is reference information only.
Editorial standards
Under Shirley's editorship, HealthCostHub commits to the following:
- Every cost figure links to its source or method.
- Every clinic in our directory has passed our published vetting criteria (board certification, ISHRS membership where applicable, public pricing or transparent quote process).
- No paid placement: clinics cannot pay for inclusion, position, or favorable framing.
- Affiliate disclosure on every page that contains an affiliate link.
- Substantiation requirements for any percentage claim (no "99% success" without source).
- No AI-generated medical outcome photos. AI is used only for educational diagrams.
What Shirley doesn't do
