Who we are

HealthCostHub.com (the "Site") is operated by the HealthCostHub editorial team ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains what data we collect when you visit the Site, why, and what choices you have.

What we collect

Information you give us

If you email us at contact@healthcosthub.com, we receive whatever you send (your email address, your message, any attachments). We use this only to reply to you.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs: our hosting provider (Netlify) logs IP address, request URL, HTTP referer, user-agent, and timestamp for every request. These logs are used for abuse detection and operational debugging.
• Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand which pages get visited and where users come from. Both tools set first-party cookies and may collect IP address (Google Analytics anonymizes IPs by default).
• Advertising: we display Google AdSense ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads.

Cookies and similar technologies

We set or allow the following cookies:

• Google Analytics: _ga, _ga_* (analytics; 2-year expiry).
• Microsoft Clarity: _clck, _clsk (session analytics; 1-year expiry).
• Google AdSense: various cookies used for ad personalization (see Google's policies).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site will continue to function without them.

Legal bases (GDPR)

For visitors in the European Economic Area or UK: we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (operating the Site, measuring traffic, displaying contextual ads), and on the basis of consent for any personalized advertising (managed via Google's consent framework).

Your rights

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

We do not "sell" your personal information in the traditional sense. However, the use of advertising cookies for personalized ads may qualify as a "sale" or "share" under California law. To opt out, use the Google Ads settings link above and any "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" controls in your browser. You may also email us at contact@healthcosthub.com.

Children

HealthCostHub is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Per UK CAP Code 12.25, our advertising is not placed in media aimed at under-18s.

Data retention

Server logs are retained by Netlify per their privacy policy. Email correspondence is retained for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Analytics data retention is set to 14 months in Google Analytics.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage.
